Yacht charter Amalfi Coast
From the road the Amalfi Coast is a traffic jam with a view; from the water it is the most theatrical coastline in Europe. Positano stacks up its cliff like a stage set, Capri's Faraglioni rise straight out of the sea, and the long lunch at Nerano has been the point of the whole exercise for fifty years. The boat is not a way to see this coast; it is the way the coast was designed to be seen.
Every rate on this page is the rate we hold: crewed day boats from €1,200 to €24,200 as of this season, and crewed weekly yachts cruising the Gulf of Naples from €26,900 a week on MYBA terms. Message dates and group size and we answer the same day in season.
Italian VAT of 22 per cent applies in Italian waters, and Italian day charter rules cap guests at twelve regardless of the boat's length. July and August bring real boat traffic around Capri and Positano; captains here time the marquee stops for mornings and keep afternoons in the quieter bays, which is exactly what you are paying them for.

Where you actually go
Through the famous rocks, along the grottoes of the south side, a swim at Marina Piccola, and, if you stay for the evening, the island after the day trippers leave, which is when Capri becomes Capri. The essential first day of any charter here.
The bay of Nerano hosts the most famous long lunch on the coast, and the zucchini pasta earns its reputation. Swim afterwards off Li Galli, the tiny archipelago where the light goes strange and gold in the afternoon.
The towns are best visited by sea in the morning or evening; midday belongs at anchor off the cliffs. Positano from a boat deck at golden hour is the single most photographed view in Italy, and it is better in person.
Across the gulf, the islands the feeds ignore: Procida's painted harbour and Ischia's thermal bays. Quieter water, better swimming, and the smart second half of a week that started in the famous places.
Crewed weeks: 61 yachts cruising Amalfi Coast
These are full week charters on MYBA terms, contracted with the yacht's own management. Amalfi Coast sits inside a wider Mediterranean itinerary for most of them, so a week can start here and finish somewhere else entirely. Showing the 12 largest of 61.
Amalfi Coast charter questions
How much does a yacht charter on the Amalfi Coast cost?+
Day charters run from €1,200 to €24,200 for the boat, crewed, for the day. Crewed weeks in the Gulf of Naples start around €26,900 on MYBA terms plus APA and Italian VAT at 22 per cent. Every number on this page is the operator rate we hold.
Where do charters start from?+
Naples, Sorrento, Salerno and the coast's own small harbours, plus Capri itself for boats positioned there. Tell us where you are staying; on this coast the right boarding point saves an hour each way.
Can we do Capri and Positano in one day?+
Yes: it is the classic day, Capri in the morning before the crowds, Nerano or Li Galli for lunch and the swim, Positano from the water in the late afternoon. Trying to add more than that turns the day into a delivery run, and the captain will gently tell you the same.
Do I need a licence?+
No. Every boat here is crewed. Italian rules cap day charter guests at twelve regardless of boat size, so start with the honest headcount and we shortlist boats that fit it.
When is the best time?+
June and September: the same coast with softer light, bookable tables and room at the anchorages. July and August work beautifully afloat, since the water is the one place here without traffic, but the marquee lunch spots need booking weeks ahead.
Can you get the Nerano lunch reservation?+
That is half our job on this coast. The famous tables book out in season; tell us early that lunch is the point of the day and we plan the charter around the reservation rather than the other way round.
