Every honest answer to this question is a range, so here is ours, drawn straight from what we actually have on the Amalfi Coast rather than from a teaser rate on somebody else's homepage.
A day on the coast: from 1,200 euros
Thirty six boats in our book work the Amalfi Coast, and nineteen of them carry a published day rate. As of summer 2026 those rates run from 1,200 euros for a ten metre boat taking six guests, up to 24,200 euros for a thirty two metre yacht that also ranges to Ibiza and the Riviera.
The working middle is narrower than that spread suggests. Most of the Positano day fleet sits between 1,400 and 1,800 euros for a twelve to sixteen metre boat carrying eight to twelve people, leaving from Spiaggia Grande or the private Lucibello pier. That is the number to hold in your head when you picture a day around Capri and Li Galli.
A week on the coast: the shape is unusual
Sixty two crewed yachts in our book name the Amalfi Coast as a cruising ground. Their low season weekly rates run from 26,900 euros to 1,200,000 euros, with a median of 246,000 euros. That median is the real story, and it is much higher than most Mediterranean grounds.

Two thirds of the weekly fleet that works this coast is large. The Gulf of Naples attracts big boats because the anchorages are deep, the runs between Capri, Positano and Amalfi are short, and owners of serious yachts like to be seen there. If your budget is under 60,000 euros for the week, the coast is still open to you, but you are choosing from five boats rather than sixty two, and you should be talking to somebody months ahead.
What is not in the headline number
The rate is the boat and the crew. On a crewed week you also fund an advance provisioning allowance for fuel, food, drink and berths, and you pay the tax that applies where the charter starts. Neither is a hidden fee, but neither is in the number you first see, and on this coast the berthing lines are not small. On a day boat the picture is simpler, but ask three questions before you compare two prices: does the rate include fuel, does it include the skipper, and is the tax already in the figure. The cheapest honest way to do this coast
- Take a day boat out of Positano rather than a week aboard. The coast is short and a single day covers Capri, Li Galli and a swim off Amalfi comfortably.
- Ask about a half day or a sunset slot. Fewer people request them, so they survive later into the season. See half days and sunset slots.
- Move to the shoulder. Late May and the second half of September give you the same water with thinner traffic and softer rates.
- If the week is the point and the budget is not vast, look at Sardinia or Croatia, where the same money buys considerably more boat.
