Spanish VAT of 21 per cent applies in Spanish waters and each listing states its treatment. In July and August the Saturday calendar goes first; midweek stays flexible almost all season, and the sea state on this coast is famously forgiving.

Where you actually go
Board in the marina the supercars come to visit, run east along the Golden Mile's villas and beach clubs, and anchor for the first swim with La Concha filling the skyline. The classic first hour of every Marbella charter.

West of Banus the coast quiets down: long beaches, fewer ropes, and anchorages where the afternoon belongs to your group alone. The right direction for swimming days and families.

Do I need a licence?+
No. Every boat listed here comes with a professional crew. You bring the group and the playlist; the captain does the rest.
Can we book a sunset or half day charter?+
Yes, and Marbella is one of the best places on the coast for it: the short formats exist on many boats, especially midweek. The golden hour run along the Golden Mile with La Concha turning pink is the best cheap ticket in town, relatively speaking.
When is the season?+
Longer than most of the Mediterranean: the coast works from April into October, and the calendar only really tightens on July and August weekends. September is the connoisseur's month, warm sea and empty water.
